Kavi by the River

Kavi walks beside a clear river 🏞️ where fish swim and birds nest. "This is a habitat — a home for living things," says Kavi. Then — a plastic bottle, bobbing in the water 🍼. "Hmm. Clean water, clean air, safe space… a healthy habitat gives all three. So — do I pick this up, or walk on?" Kavi looks at you. "A good steward always makes the caring choice. Come and learn how!"

A peek inside

Kavi finds an empty drink can on the forest path where birds nest. To care for this habitat, what is the best thing to do?
A steward keeps the habitat clean and safe. A can left on the path is litter that can trap or hurt an animal, so the caring choice is to remove it.

Try this at home: Name three things a healthy habitat gives living things.
