Challenge: Design Under Limits
A good design fits its limit — cost, material, or time — and every choice trades one good thing for another.

work out the smart trade-off when a design must fit a limit — like 'with no glue and only 3 sheets, what should you give up to make it stand?'

📖
Kavi the Limit Solver
Kavi lays out three sheets of paper 📄📄📄 and a challenge card. "Build a tower — but there are limits: only 3 sheets, no glue, and 10 minutes! I can't have everything. If I want it taller, I need more sheets… but I only have three. That's a trade-off: to gain one good thing, I give up another. Let's find the smart choice that still fits the limit!"

What your child will learn
1Three kinds of limitEvery design has limits — rules it must obey. Tap each one to learn it.
2To gain one thing, you give up anotherTwo towers, same challenge: only 3 sheets, no glue. Tap each card to see the trade-off.
3Fits the 'no glue, only 3 sheets' limit? The limit is no glue and no more than 3 sheets. Tap the right box for each idea.
4Which choice fits the limit?Read the limit, then pick the choice that fits — and notice what it trades away. Tap Next test → for more!

A peek inside
The limit is NO glue and only 3 sheets. Kavi needs to join two sheets so the tower stands. What should Kavi do, and what is traded away?
Glue is not allowed, so I can't glue. I can fold and tuck the edges together — that joins them with no glue. It is a little less strong than glue, so I trade some strength to obey the limit.
