Kavi Builds a Snail Home
Kavi finds a little snail 🐌 in the garden. "Where does it want to live?" wonders Kavi. So Kavi builds a box with four corners — a bright corner ☀️, a damp corner 💧, a dark shelter 🌿, and a corner with a tasty leaf 🥬. "Now I'll watch, measure each check, and record it in a chart to see which corner the snail picks the most!"

What your child will learn
1What a good habitat providesA habitat is a home that gives an animal what it needs to live. Tap each part of Kavi's snail box to see what it provides.
2Which corner will the snail choose?Use what you know about snails to predict. Then tap to check! Tap Next test for more.
3Record your results in a bar chartKavi checked the snail 10 times and made one mark for the corner it was in each time. Each bar counts the marks. The tallest bar is the corner chosen the most.
4The steps of a good investigationA scientist follows the same steps every time. Tap each step to see how Kavi investigates the snail.
🔍
A peek inside
Kavi's chart shows the dark corner with 6 marks, the wet corner with 3, and the bright corner with 1. Which corner did the snail choose the most?
