Kavi's Bridge for the Toy Cars
The toy cars 🚗 are stuck — there is a gap between the two tables and they cannot cross! "That's a need 🔍," hoots Kavi. "So we design a bridge ✏️, build it 🔨, and test if a car can cross 🧪. If it bends, we improve one thing 🔧 and go round again. That's the design cycle!"

A peek inside
What is the very first step of the design cycle?
Before anything else, a designer identifies the need — the problem that must be solved.
Try this at home: Put the design cycle in order: Test · Identify a need · Improve · Design · Build
