Kavi's Weather Watch Lab
Kavi pins a big weekly chart to the window 📋 and hoots, "Welcome to the weather lab!" Each morning Kavi looks at the sky and makes one tally mark — ☀️ sunny, ☁️ cloudy, 🌧️ rainy or 💨 windy. "Scientists don't just look once — we record every day," says Kavi. "At the end of the week we count the marks and spot the pattern — which weather happened most!"

A peek inside
On Monday the sky is grey ☁️ and drops are falling. What do I record, and how?
Drops from clouds mean rain, so I draw 🌧️ and make one tally mark next to Rainy.
Try this at home: Look out of the window now. Draw today's weather symbol and make one tally mark.
