Kavi's Mystery Animal Sort

Kavi tips out a basket of animal cards 🦋🐟🦆🐛. "Too many to count!" So Kavi makes groups: a box for has wings and a box for no wings. Then Kavi builds a key — a chain of yes/no questions. "First ask Has wings? then ask Can swim? — one question at a time leads every animal to its own group!"

🎓

A peek inside

I sort by has wings? Which box does a bee 🐝 go in?
A bee has wings, so it goes in the 'has wings' box.

Try this at home: Sort by HAS WINGS. Write each in the right box: butterfly · fish · bee · snail
