The same amount wears three outfits: ¾ = 0.75 = 75%. Divide to turn a fraction into a decimal, ×100 to make a percentage, ÷100 to come back — and write a percent over 100 to get its fraction.

Kavi's Three-Name Trick 🏷️
At the shop a tag reads “25% OFF”, the recipe card says 0.5 of a cup, and the pizza is cut into ¼ slices. "Three ways of writing, one amount!" hoots Kavi. "If I can turn a fraction into a decimal, a decimal into a percentage, and back again, no number can hide from me ✨."

What your child will learn
1¾, 0.75 and 75% are the same amountCut a whole bar into 4 equal parts and shade 3. As a fraction that is 3/4. To get the decimal, divide the top by the bottom: 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75. To get the percentage (“out of 100”), multiply the decimal by 100: 0.75 × 100 = 75%.
2How to move between the three forms
3× 100 to dress up, ÷ 100 to dress down
4Turn everything into percent to compareWhen numbers wear different outfits — a fraction here, a decimal there — change them ALL to the same form and they line up on one ruler. Here 1/2, 3/5 and 7/10 become 50%, 60% and 70%.

A peek inside
Write 3/4 as a decimal and as a percentage.
3 ÷ 4 = 0.75, then 0.75 × 100 = 75
Try this at home: Write 1/2 as a decimal and a percentage: __
