Kavi's Ten-Times Telescope 🔭
Kavi peers through a magic telescope and every acorn looks ten times bigger 🌰! "Point it at 4 and I see 40 — multiplying by 10 just pops a 0 on the end!" Then Kavi winks: "To count in fives, I cheat — I jump in tens first, then take half. Six tens is 60… half is 30, so 6 × 5 = 30!"

What your child will learn
1A zero joins the endTo multiply by 10, every block grows ten times bigger: a 1 (one) becomes a 10 (ten). So 4 ones turn into 4 tens — that's 40. Tap the 1s and 10s buttons to see ones and tens side by side.
2Jumps of tenMultiplying by 10 is just equal jumps of 10. Start at 0 and tap Hop +10 →. Count the jumps: 1 jump → 10 · 2 jumps → 20 · 3 jumps → 30.
3The ×5 shortcutFives are just half of tens. Tap Hop +5 → and watch: the ×5 landings fall exactly halfway between the ten jumps — 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
4Say the tens, halve for fivesNo pictures now — just know them. The bright numbers are the × 10 answers: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50. Halve each one and you get the matching × 5 answer.

A peek inside
Kavi packs 4 bags 🎒, each with 10 marbles. How many marbles in all?
4 × 10 → pop a zero on the 4
