A peek inside
A banana costs 7 ribu. Pay with a 5 ribu note and a 2 ribu note, then with coins, and say which pile has more money.
Pile A: 5 + 2 = 7 ribu, two pieces.
Pile B: seven 1 ribu coins, which is 7 ribu.
Pile A has fewer pieces.
Both piles are 7 ribu, so neither has more.
Try this at home: A banana costs 7 ribu. Pay with a 5 ribu note and a 2 ribu note, then with coins, and say which pile has more money.
