Kavi and the Clock Tower 🕐
The big clock tower in the park has two hands — a short one and a long one. "How does it tell me the time?" wondered Kavi. A wise old clock-keeper smiled: "The short hand shows the hour. The long hand shows the minutes. When the long hand points straight up, it is o'clock. When it points straight down, it is half past." Let's read it together!

What your child will learn
1The two hands — read o'clockThe short hand points to the hour. The long hand points to the minutes. When the long hand points straight up (to the 12), the minutes are 0 — we say o'clock. Tap +1 hour to move the short hand around.
2Half pastTap +½ hour. The long hand swings to point straight down (to the 6). That means 30 minutes have passed — we say half past. Look: the short hand is now halfway between two numbers.
3Which hand is which? The hands are different on purpose. Tap each card to remember its job.
