Kavi's Egg Cartons 🥚
Kavi's egg carton holds exactly 10 eggs 🥚 — seven are inside, and 5 more arrive! "Don't count them all again," says Kavi. "Fill the carton first: 3 eggs make it 10, and the last 2 start a new carton — 12!"

What your child will learn
1Fill the carton to tenLet's add 7 + 5. Start with 7 eggs in the carton: tap Add seven times and count the empty spaces.
2Two cartons side by sideSee the whole sum at once. Tap Add 7: seven eggs are in, and 5 empty spaces show what is still to come.
3Hop to ten, then the restStart at 7. Hop +3 to land on 10, then hop the 2 that are left to reach 12. First fill up to ten, then add what is left.
4A ten and some onesNumbers past ten are a ten and some ones: 12 = 10 + 2, 13 = 10 + 3. So once you have made the ten, just say what is left!
