Kavi Looks Back at Term 2
Kavi settled into the reading nook with acorn tea and a fat notebook. "Look how far we flew this term!" Kavi hooted, turning the pages. "We learned to debug — when a program misbehaves we don't guess, we use a method: reproduce the bug, locate the broken line by tracing, fix just one thing, then test. We looked inside the internet — many computers connected worldwide, where DNS turns a name like kavi.academy into an IP address, and messages travel as small numbered packets. And we learned security — encryption scrambles our data so snoopers can't read it, https:// with a padlock means a secure connection, and 2-step verification adds a one-time code on top of our password." Kavi tapped the three headings. "Three big ideas. Let's look back and make sure every one of them stuck."
