Kavi Looks Back at Term 1
Kavi curled up in the reading nook with a mug of acorn tea and a fat notebook. "Look how far we flew this term!" Kavi hooted, turning the pages. "We learned to design — break a huge problem into small, solvable parts (that's decomposition) and plan a design doc before building. We learned to code — real typed lines that run top to bottom, with variables, lists and functions we can call. We looked inside the machine — everything is stored in binary (0s and 1s, bits and bytes), and the CPU repeats fetch–decode–execute for every single instruction. And we learned to work with data — clean it, find the mean, and tell an honest story without overclaiming." Kavi tapped the four headings. "Four big ideas. Let's look back and make sure every one of them stuck."
