Kavi Looks Back at Term 1
Kavi settled into the reading nook with a mug of acorn tea. "Look how far we flew this term!" Kavi hooted. "We learned to write an algorithm — a clear plan built from just three steps: sequence (in order), selection (choose with IF–THEN) and iteration (repeat with a loop), even a loop inside a loop. We peeked inside the machine and found that it stores everything as binary — only two digits, 0 and 1 — where a single 0 or 1 is a bit. We tidied facts into a database, with a record for each thing and a field for each kind of fact. And we learned that every post we make shapes our reputation online." Kavi smiled. "Let's look back and make sure it all stuck."
