Kavi Learns to Type Without Looking
Kavi used to type with one wing, poking the keys one at a time and staring down the whole time: poke... poke... poke... It was slow, and Kavi kept losing the place on the screen. Then an owl-friend showed Kavi a secret. "Rest your fingers here, on the home row," she said. "Feel the little bumps on F and J? They help your fingers find home without looking." Kavi put both wings on the home row, looked up at the screen, and typed. "Go accurately first," she said — "get it right, make few mistakes. The speed comes later, all by itself." Soon Kavi was typing whole sentences without peeking at the keys!
