Be an Upstander
Thinking It Through · kindness online — help kindly when someone is treated badly online

Kavi Sees a Mean Comment
Kavi was watching a video when a friend, Pip, posted a drawing. Then someone left a mean comment: "That is so ugly!" Other owls just watched and did nothing — they were bystanders. Pip looked sad. Kavi's tummy felt funny. "I don't like this," Kavi thought. So Kavi did not join in or laugh. Instead Kavi sent Pip a kind message — "I love your drawing, Pip! That comment wasn't fair" — and told a trusted grown-up about the mean words. Pip smiled again. "You helped me," said Pip. When you stand up and help kindly instead of just watching, you are an upstander.
