Kavi Joins the Dots

At owl school, Kavi's tablet could only talk to itself — until Teacher Owl joined all the tablets together with wifi. "Now watch," she hooted. Kavi sent a drawing, and ping! — it popped up on a friend's tablet across the room. "How?" Kavi gasped. "Because the tablets are connected now," said Teacher Owl. "Two or more devices joined together so they can share are called a network." Kavi looked at all the glowing tablets linked together. "A network is like lots of dots joined by lines," Kavi smiled, "so a message on one can hop to another."
