Kavi's Fruit Survey
Kavi asked every friend, "What fruit do you like best?" Soon there were answers everywhere — 🍎🍌🍎🍇🍌🍎 — all jumbled up! "I can't tell how many of each," Kavi groaned. Then — hoot! — Kavi drew a table: a neat grid with one column for each fruit. Every answer went in its own box. "Now I can see it!" A table keeps data tidy in rows and columns, so you can read it in a blink. "Let's put our data in a table!"

What your child will learn
1A table has rows and columnsA table is a tidy grid for your data. It is built from a few parts. Tap each one to learn its name.
2Put each answer in the right columnTo organise data in a table, put each thing in the column where it belongs. Our table has an Apple column and a Banana column. Tap the right column for each answer.
3Read how manyOnce data is in a table, you can read it. Count the boxes in each column. The column with the most boxes is the most popular. Read the table, then reveal.
