Kavi Sends a Picture to the Printer

Kavi painted a card on the tablet and wanted it on paper. "But the printer is all the way over there!" said Kavi. Then — tap — the tablet connected to the printer, and out came the card! "They talked to each other!" Kavi hooted. When two devices connect, they can share things — a picture, a song, a message. The tablet sent, the printer listened. "Devices work together like good friends."

What your child will learn

1Alone, or talking together?A device on its own can only do its own job. But when two devices connect, they can send things to each other. Tap each card to hear the difference.
2Who can talk to whom? Many everyday devices can connect and share. Tap each one to hear what it can send or receive.
3Will the song play?If two devices are connected, one can send and the other receives. Predict what happens when Kavi's connected phone sends a song to the speaker, then reveal.
