Kavi's Robot Makes a Mess

Uh oh! Kavi's robot got its steps muddled. It tried to pour the milk before getting a bowl — splash, what a mess! "A computer does exactly what you say, even a wrong step," said Kavi. "A bug is just a step in the wrong place. A good coder is a bug hunter — let's find the step that lied and fix it!"

What your child will learn

1Is the order right? Some step-pairs are in a sensible order. Others are muddled — the second step has to come first! Tap the right box for each one.
2Find the bugA computer follows every step — even a wrong one. Debugging is finding the step that lied, not 'you failed'. Predict the bug, then reveal.
3Steps in the right orderHere is the cereal program done the RIGHT way. Press ▶ Run and watch. If the robot poured milk before the bowl, that would be a bug — a step in the wrong place.
