Reading the Media
Viewing & Media — read an infographic, advert or screen: find its message, name the technique that sells it, then ask whether you can trust it.

Kavi Reads Behind the Shine
"Every advert, infographic and app screen is made by someone, for a reason," said Kavi, tilting her head at a glowing poster. "A sharp reader asks three questions. What is the message — what do they want me to think or do? What technique sells it — a giant number, a bright colour, a cropped photo, a '9 in 10 agree'? And can I trust it — who made it, and where is the proof? Read past the shine, and you are in charge — not the screen."
