Kavi and the Double Letters
"Here is a spelling secret!" says Kavi the owl. "In a short word like bell, we write two l's — but you only hear one /l/ sound. The same happens with kiss (-ss) and buzz (-zz). One sound, two letters, right at the end. Catch the sounds and remember to double the last letter!"
