Kavi Tries Again

Kavi the owl asks AI to draw "a happy owl on a branch." AI draws an owl — but it looks grumpy, and there's no branch! "Hmm, that's not what I wanted," Kavi hoots. But she doesn't give up. "I'll be clearer: a smiling owl sitting on a green branch." She tries again — and this time it's just right. "When it isn't right," she says, "you try again!"

A peek inside

I asked for a happy owl, but AI drew a grumpy one. What do I do?
It's not what I wanted, but I don't give up. I make my ask clearer — 'a smiling, happy owl' — and try again.

Try this at home: AI's first try isn't what you wanted. Should you give up?

Questions parents ask

+What should a child do if AI's first answer is wrong?

Don't give up. Look carefully at what AI gave back, decide what wasn't right, change your ask to be clearer, and try again. Good makers often try two or three times before it fits their idea.

+Why is 'try again' an important skill with AI?

AI rarely gets it perfect on the first try. The maker stays in charge by judging the result and asking again in a better way. Trying again — not giving up — is how you get something that is really yours.

+How do you make a second try better than the first?

Say what was wrong and add what you really wanted. If AI drew a cat but you wanted a dog, your new ask says 'draw a dog, not a cat'. A clearer ask gives a closer result.

+What age is this 'Try Again' lesson for?

It is a Stage 3 lesson for roughly ages 7–8 in KAVI Academy's AI-literacy track. It uses a story and simple choosing games, with very little reading required.
