Tell a Grown-Up
If something online feels wrong or scary — stop, and tell a grown-up you trust.

Kavi's Funny Feeling
Kavi the owl is playing a game when a bright box pops up: "🎁 YOU WON! Type your name, your home and a photo!" Kavi's tummy feels funny. "That feels wrong…" she hoots. She doesn't type. She doesn't tap. She flies straight to a grown-up she trusts. "This popped up and it felt scary." The grown-up smiles. "You did exactly right — you told me. Let's close it together." Kavi grins. "If it feels wrong, I tell a grown-up!"

Questions parents ask
+What should a child do if something online feels wrong or scary?
Stop — don't reply, don't click, don't keep it a secret — and tell a grown-up you trust, like a parent, carer or teacher, as soon as you can. You never have to deal with it alone, and you are never in trouble for telling.
+Who counts as a trusted grown-up?
A grown-up who looks after you and keeps you safe in real life — a parent, a carer, a teacher, or another safe adult in your family. If one is busy or you can't reach them, tell the next trusted grown-up you can find.
+What age is this 'Tell a Grown-Up' lesson for?
It is a Stage 3 lesson for roughly ages 8–9 — part of KAVI Academy's AI-literacy and online-safety track. It uses a story and decision games with light reading.
+Why teach 'tell a grown-up' as part of AI literacy?
Children meet chatbots, games and messages that can feel confusing, pushy or scary. A simple, practised rule — if it feels wrong, tell a grown-up — gives them a safe next step before anything goes further.
