Kavi Checks the Whole List

A helper gives Kavi the owl a neat list of facts. "A spider has 8 legs, a bee has 10 legs, a week has 7 days..." "Wait!" hoots Kavi. "A bee has 6 legs, not 10 — that one is wrong." Her friend says, "Just fix that one, the rest are fine!" But Kavi shakes her head. "If it got one wrong, it might have more wrong. I'll check the rest too!" She checks each line — and finds the list also said a cow says 'meow'. "See? Never trust the rest blindly!"

A peek inside

A helper's list says a bee has 10 legs. I caught that it's wrong. Should I trust the other answers without looking?
A bee has 6 legs, so that line is wrong. If the helper got one wrong, it might have more wrong — I shouldn't trust the rest blindly.

Try this at home: A helper gets one answer in a list wrong. Should you trust all the other answers?

Questions parents ask

+If a helper gets one answer wrong, should you trust the rest?

No. A helper that makes one mistake can easily make more. When you catch one wrong answer, the smart habit is to go back and re-check the rest too, instead of assuming they are all fine.

+Why can't you trust the other answers after you find one mistake?

An AI gives every answer in the same confident way, whether it is right or wrong. Finding one error is a warning sign that the helper may not be reliable this time, so each of the other answers still needs checking against something you trust.

+What age is this 'Check the Rest' lesson for?

It is a Stage 3 lesson for roughly ages 8–9 in KAVI Academy's AI-literacy track. It builds on earlier lessons about checking a single answer for truth and comparing answers.

+How do you re-check a list of answers?

Go through them one at a time and ask of each: does it match what I meant, and is it really true? Check each against a book, a trusted grown-up, or two good sources that agree — don't skip one just because it looks fine.

+Is the lesson free?

Yes — this overview and the printable PDF handout are free. The full interactive lesson and the endless practice are part of KAVI Academy.
