I'm One of a Kind
There is nobody exactly like you — but a machine comes in copies, all the same!

Kavi and the Shelf of Robots
Kavi the owl visits a shop and sees a whole shelf of robots 🤖🤖🤖 — every one exactly the same! "A factory made them all alike," hoots Kavi. Then Kavi flies home to you 🙂. "But there is only one you in the whole world. Your face, your voice, your ideas — all your very own. You are one of a kind, and you matter!"

Questions parents ask
+What does 'one of a kind' mean for a child?
It means there is nobody else exactly like you. Your face, your voice, your ideas and your feelings are your very own. Even twins are not exactly the same inside. You are one of a kind — and you matter.
+How is a person different from a machine?
A factory can make thousands of the same machine, all the same. But there is only one you. A machine can be copied; you cannot be copied. That is a big first idea in AI literacy: a machine is a made thing, and no machine can ever be YOU.
+What age is this 'I'm One of a Kind' lesson for?
It is a Stage 2 lesson for roughly ages 6–7 in KAVI Academy's AI-literacy track. It uses a story and sorting games, with very little reading required.
+Why teach 'I am one of a kind' as AI literacy?
Children meet machines that talk and answer like people. Knowing that machines come in copies while each person is unique helps a child keep a healthy, confident sense of self — and understand that no machine can replace who they are.
+Is the lesson free?
Yes — this overview and the printable PDF handout are free. The full interactive lesson and the endless practice are part of KAVI Academy.
