Right or Wrong, It Learns
When the machine guesses, we tell it 'right' or 'wrong' — and next time it does a little better.

Kavi's Paper Guessing Machine
Kavi the owl builds a little paper machine 🤖 that guesses. It sees an apple 🍎 and guesses, "Banana!" "Wrong! It is an apple," says Kavi — and the machine remembers. Later it sees the apple again and guesses, "Apple!" "Right!" cheers Kavi. "Telling it right or wrong helps it learn — a little better every time!"

Questions parents ask
+How does a machine learn when we tell it right or wrong?
The machine makes a guess. If we tell it 'right,' it keeps doing that. If we tell it 'wrong,' it changes a little. After being told right or wrong many times, it guesses better. For kids: it is like a paper guessing machine that remembers our corrections.
+Does a machine get better the more we correct it?
Usually yes. Each time we tell it 'right' or 'wrong,' it has something to learn from, so its next guess is a little better. With no feedback at all, it has nothing to learn from and stays the same.
+What age is this 'Right or Wrong, It Learns' lesson for?
It is a Stage 2 lesson for roughly ages 6–7 — part of KAVI Academy's AI-literacy track. It uses a story and games, with very little reading required.
+Why teach feedback as AI literacy?
Real AI learns from examples and corrections. Showing children that a machine does a little better each time we tell it right or wrong builds the core idea of how AI is trained — in a concrete, playful way.
+Is the lesson free?
Yes — this overview and the printable PDF handout are free. The full interactive lesson and the endless practice are part of KAVI Academy.
